A Karok Bow made of authenic materials

Arrows circa pre-1890. Main shafts are made from shoots of syringa.
Fletching is dyed to resemble hawk feathers. It was not uncommon for the Karok and
other California Indians to paint theie arrows with bright red and blue rings of paint.
The sinew lashing were commonly painted possibly to aid in water proofing them. The paint
designs on these arrows were copied from an original.
